STEVE CRITCHLEY CD, C.Med
Steve Critchley is a practicing mediator with international experience. He has taught mediation programs overseas in the UK, Italy, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, and Dubai.
Steve spent 28 years as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. He was a Basic Training Instructor as well as an Advanced Leadership Instructor. He was deployed to Egypt, Cyrus and Bosnia.
During the Bosnian war, Steve witnessed human conflict at its worst. His experiences included negotiating with armed belligerents and establishing small local areas of trust and cooperation. Steve developed a belief that people can work together to achieve realistic and positive results.
Steve was also included in a select group from the Canadian Military to undergo Mediation training as part of a pilot program co-coordinated by the Executive Director for Conflict Management responsible to the Department of National Defence and the Federal Government. After completing the assignment of authoring a paper on Mediation, Steve achieved the third phase of the Mediator Qualification Program in July 2000.
Steve has been involved in mediations in Alberta Civil Court, private mediations between land owners and multi national energy companies, a $500m law suite, workplace harassment, abuse of authority, at Federal, Provincial and municipal governments. Steve has taught mediation skills world wide to a large group of international participants including several programs in various locations across Africa.
Steve cofounded Can Praxis in 2011 and continues their work with Veterans and First Responders along with their families overcoming PTSD and OSI. After working with over 400 couples dealing with PTSD Steve has in-depth experience working with the Crisis and Conflict the injury brings to their everyday life.

Professor Alero Erhieyovwe AKEREDOLU after her call to bar in 1988 was counsel in the Chambers of Akeredolu & Olujinmi, after which she was an Associate in the Chambers of Chief Akinola Adaramaja, SAN up till 1994 when she established her own chambers â Jedidiah Chambers.

In 2016, she was on sabbatical at Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo and was subsequently appointed a full Professor of Law by that prestigious University in 2017. She served there as the Dean of Faculty of Law up till October 2018, where she provided strategic leadership and direction to the Faculty.
Professor Akeredolu is on the Panel of Neutrals of Lagos and Oyo State Multidoor Courts. She was also a member of the Oyo State Steering Committee that midwived the Oyo State Multidoor Courthouse. Belloâs 35 years career in the public service started in broadcasting at the then Gongola Broadcasting Corporation, Yola (1980) and the Nigerian Television Authority, Yola (1981-1990) from where he joined the then National Electoral Commission, NEC (1990-2016). During these 35 years, Bello rose to the rank of Deputy Director (2010). He was one time Administrative Secretary, INEC in Bauchi (2010-2012) and Administrative Secretary in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT office of the Commission (2012-2013). He was Chairman, Radio Television and Theatre Arts Workers Union, RATTAWU (1983), State Secretary, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ (1989-1991), Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR (1990-1992). In these capacities, Bello was engaged assiduously in hallmarking the competent and advancing the knowledge of the trades/professions.
As a precursor to his practice as a Mediator, Bello trained as a Journalist, an Administrator, a Peacebuilder, and as a Lawyer. PROFILE OF DR. LYDIA UMAR
Dr. Lydia Umar is an educationist and development professional with a background in Curriculum Studies (Social Studies). In addition to lecturing for over 30 years, she co-founded Gender Awareness Trust (GAT) in 2000 to promote peace and gender equity. In the areas of conflict management, mediation and peace building, she has worked as practitioner, trainer, researcher and coordinator for government agencies and development partners. Her capacity has been built through numerous trainings which include UPEACE Faculty and Staff Development Seminars in Zambia and UNOWAS Regional Mediation Training. On the regional level, she was a Board Member of WANEP for 8 years, faculty Staff of the West Africa Peace Institute (WAPI) for 6 years and Regional Adviser of the West African Women in Peace building Network.
She has held appointments which include Chairperson, Steering Committee of Global Crisis Preventive Mechanism for West Africa, and is currently representative of UNOWAS Women, Peace and Security working Group in Nigeria. She facilitated its establishment and work, particularly promoting peaceful election and engaging women in Politics in the 2019 general elections in Nigeria. She is also Regional Vice Chairperson and Country President of NOPSWECO. She carried out gender trainings and audits for UN agencies and served as Kaduna State Gender Adviser for Humanitarian Centre on Community Dialogue, Geneva.
She has worked extensively as a technical expert in several peacebuilding initiatives in Kaduna State, Nigeria and internationally. PROFILE OF DR. ESTHER AHMED
Dr. Esther Ahmed is a seasoned Administrator and Development cum Humanitarian worker with over two decades of field experience working with Government Agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations and in the field of Media/Communications.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Conflict Management and Peace Studies from the International University Bamenda, Cameroon and has garnered invaluable experience in the areas of peacebuilding, community development and capacity building.
Dr. Esther is an International Master of Healing and Rebuilding our Community (HROC) Facilitator and has participated in several Training of Trainers (ToT) in Peacebuilding and Psychosocial Support within and outside Nigeria.
She is a certified STAR Practitioner, passionate about trauma healing, psychosocial support and SGBV issues, and is currently the Director General, Sustainable Development Goals, Bauchi State.
Mrs. Oluwatoyin Atinuke Odusanya first obtained a BA (honours) in History in 1984 from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos (UNILAG). After her Youth Service, she returned to the same UNILAG to study law in 1985. She was called to the bar in 1990 after obtaining her LLB (Hons.). She also obtained her LLM from University of Lagos in 2006.
She joined the Lagos State Ministry of Justice in 1994 and served in various departments such as the Directorate of Civil Litigation, Directorate of Advisory Services and the Citizens Mediation Centre. She is a CEDR (UK) accredited mediator, fellow of the Chartered Institute of taxation, Fellow of the Society for peace and conflict studies, member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, Ambassador for peace of the Citizensâ Mediation Centre and a registered consultant with the United Nations Development Project for training of Civil Defense Officers. She has training in Advanced Mediation Skills from the Harvard Negotiation Institute USA. She is an active legal practitioner and a seasoned mediator who has handled several cases successfully. She serves as a Neutral of the Lagos Multi Door Court House.
Mrs. Odusanya served as Director of the Lagos State Citizensâ Mediation Centre for five years, after which she served as Director Legal services for the Ministry of Youth & Social Development (MYSD) and Ministry of Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation (WAPA). She is currently, Director Citizens Rights of the Ministry of Justice, Lagos State and a member of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related abuses.

PROFILE OF MRS. CHINYERE ANGELA ONYEMENAM
Chinyere Angela Onyemenam, a legal practitioner, accredited mediator, negotiator, peace maker and arbitrator, graduated in 1987 from the University of Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1988.
Chinyere started her career in the banking industry before her foray into legal practice. She later joined National Oil and Chemical Marketing PLC as the Assistant Company Secretary in 1991.
She was elected as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, London in 1999 and acquired a Masters in Business Administration in the same year.
Chinyere left National Oil in 1999 after having served in different capacities including the legal and human resources departments of the company to become the Corporate Services Director at Bridgeways DPG Ltd., a company with a wide portfolio in Real Estate Development, Project and Facility Management, and Manufacturing.
Chinyere is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), a Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and a member of the Panel of Neutrals of the Lagos Multi Door Courthouse, the Lagos Court of Arbitration and the Federal High Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre. Chinyere has mediated a wide range of disputes including banking, oil and gas, real estate, contract, insurance, libel, restorative justice and family law. She has facilitated for the ICMC, the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators and the Dispute Resolution Centre of Abuja Chamber of Commerce.
Coupled with her experience in corporate governance and human resource development and management, Chinyere has had a number of successful entrepreneurial ventures, which have given her a rather broad spectrum of experience in diverse fields necessary for effective dispute resolution
PROFILE OF MRS. EILEEN GLORY OGUNYANNWO
Mrs. Eileen Ogunyannwo is an Accredited International Mediator and a Professional in Managing Workplace Conflicts by Mediation Training Institute, International (MTII), Kansas, USA.
She has a legal background (LLB), BSc in Entrepreneurship & Business Management as well as a Diploma in Public Administration.
She is a Board Member and the Clientsâ Services Director of Mediation Training Institute (MTI-Nigeria)
She is a Co-founder of the Family Peace Facilitators Network (FPFN )
She settles family disputes as a vocation
Presently, she is writing a book on “Overcoming the many Conflicts & Challenges of Marriage”
Above all she is an Ordained Minister of God’s Word the Bible and a student of the Theocratic Ministry School.
She is married to Engr. âSegun Ogunyannwo and blessed with a lovely Daughter, Atinuke, Adorabelle, Ogunyannwo
