Mediation Training Institute is registered (RC 653923) for the training and certification of Mediators and other ADR Professionals. It trains prospective candidates, develops best practices and standards in the field and encourages organizations and institutions to adopt Mediation as primary mechanism for addressing disputes. MTI-Nigeria runs both Local and International training programmes.

PREAMBLE:
- Our courts of law are usually overloaded. Invariably, there is considerable delay in the resolution of the disputes submitted to them for adjudication. Court procedure is very formal and technical leaving parties exhausted, embittered and often impoverished. However, Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration are major Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms for the effective administration of Justice and for promoting peace and harmonious coexistence.
- Visionary and proactive organisations the world over, are utilising Mediation and Conciliation as primary mechanisms for resolving disputes, thereby strengthening their internal structures, sustaining business relationships and positively impacting their public image.
- The Plateau State Multi-Door Courthouse (PLSMDC) has been established for the effective administration of Justice and the ease of doing business. This training will avail participants the opportunity to understand the workings of the PLSMDC and benefit from same.
- This course is a rich blend of legal and therapeutic disciplines, creating an inspiring learning experience. It offers a practical approach to dispute resolution enabling participants to hone skills in human relations, which improves institutional performance and productivity.
